International Polar Year - Polar Day Webcast

Services: Polar Day Webcast Coordination
Purpose: As part of International Polar Day and in support of the International Polar Year Federal Program Office, River Road Creative worked with staff at the International Polar Year Office and the Canadian Museum of Civilization to produce a 2-hour live webcast attended by hundreds of Ottawa youth. The event included presentations by northern researchers, the Students on Ice program and Inuit song and dance.

International Polar Year Project Review Meetings

Services: Meeting Travel Logistics
Purpose: As part of International Polar Year, Arctic research and communications projects are funded by the Government of Canada. A review panel comprised of experts from across the Arctic flew to Ottawa for several days of meetings. River Road Creative arranged all travel.

Canada Night in Savannah, Georgia, 1998 and Big Sky, Montana 2002

Client: Canadian North American Waterfowl Management Plan Partners
Service: Reception Logistics
Purpose: Every four years Canadian North American Waterfowl Management Plan partners host a “Canada Night” reception in the United States honouring State Wildlife Directors and other non-governmental organizations for annual funding to Canada for wetland habitat conservation. These events that are attended by 500 U.S. and Canadian invitees. All food and beverage is Canadian – from the smoked snow goose to the micro-brewed beer and Niagara wine – a challenge at times because of international trade regulations and restrictions, but we have helped to make these events successful.
